I have a steering wheel vibration when I hit 70 mph for a few months now. I have bought new tires, had numerous balancing jobs, tire rotations, and new front struts. What else could be causing the vibration? Maybe a drive axle? Could it be this, and is this considered under the drivetrain warranty. Any other ideas?

TIA

Back when I had my 91 Ford Exploder,

It would vibrate as soon as I hit 66+MPH. All I did to fix the problem was put new spark plugs in and the problem went away completly and never came back.

Determine whether the symptom is keyed to vehicle speed or engine speed. Do this by running up to 75 in 4th gear, and then 5th gear (if manual transmission) or with Overdrive OFF and then Overdrive ON (if automatic transmission). If the symptom always appears at 70 mph, it is keyed to vehicle speed.

If you determine the problem is keyed to vehicle speed you may have bent or cracked wheels, worn tie rod ends, worn ball joints, a bent hub. A bad drive axle causing this symptom is unlikely but not impossible.

If you determine the problem is keyed to engine speed, check the accessory drive belts and their pulleys for damage. Check the accessories (power steering pump, alternator, air conditioner compressor) for loose mounting bolts or cracked mounting brackets.
