Hey all - Had the H&R Springs and KYB struts installed last week - what a difference. Drop seems to be quite a bit more than the 1.4 inch drop you're supposed to get, which is always a plus. The MAX has never been this TIGHT! Wish I had done it sooner..

Which KYBs? AGX or GR-2s?
I'm thinking about switching out my B&Gs for a pair of H&Rs.

GR-2. I didn't think I would ever play with the adjustables, so I went with the GR-2 that fit my budget better anyway. Couldn't be more pleased

I wonder how many people have found that the H&R/KYB-AGX upgrade was such a great improvement, that they've held off on buying a newer Maxima (or other car)?

I'm pending on an installation of the same myself, but also test driving the new models (VERY impressed by both 2004 G35 and Maxima). I wonder how a 4th/5th gen with the H&R/KYB-AGX suspension setup compares to the stock G35 and Maxima.

Didn't you have B&G springs at one point? How would you compare them with the H&Rs? The B&G's feel a little to rough and I'm thinking about going with H&Rs.

B&G's are much more agressive then H&R's. I only lasted about 2 months on B&G's before I swapped them for H&R's.

I just measured my wheel gap with B+G springs and stock 16 inch alloys.. 2 inch in front, and about 1.5 inch in back. Not too much different from what nick measured with H&R's.

If anybody else has had experience with both H&R's and B+G's, I would love to hear more feedback, especially about ride quality.

The Max sits lower in the back with H&R springs, whereas with B&G drop, the wheelgap is even in front and back.

I found exactly the opposite.. maybe because i have a 5 speed, my back is about .5 inch lower than the front with B+G's

i installed the hr/agx's yesterday. no doubt, it made my max look tight. the front suspension is very solid, but the rears are making massive bumping noises. i'm don't know what's going on with them. the rears are set at 6/8. It sux that the rears aren't as solid as the fronts. i'm questioning on whether i should have lowered it at all.

I've heard the same problem with other 5spd 4th gen owners that has the B&G springs as well.

They aligned the car after they installed the suspension. Isn't that the way you're supposed to do it?

Depends... I've heard some advice that the alignment should be done after a few hundred miles to let the new suspension "settle in." Otherwise, you may find yourself getting 2 alignments.
