fuel system cleaners?
#3
i read that nissan puts a stock coating on all the fuel injection parts so that all that nasty stuff doesnt stick to it.. i also heard that the additive stuff detroys that coating and while it cleans it temporarily, it will cause more problems in the long run
however.. i had 240sx with 160 k miles in it and it was bogging like crazy under 2.2k rpm. i used the techron addive as a last resort thing and it fixed it. no more low rpm boggin in any gear. so i duno.. i put half a bottle in every 6 months. it dilutes it down a bit so it wont be harmful to any part plus u get that cleaning effect that i thinki t does do.

lol..when professionals clean it they dont take apart the injectors and clean them..they use the same stuff we buy...if they took apart everythign the service to get the injectors cleaned would cost like 2k..

" Nissan no longer recommends using fuel-injector cleaners with most of its vehicles. Starting in 1991, the carmaker gradually switched over to pintleless-type injectors, which aren't as likely to get clogged from carbon and varnish as pintle-variety injectors are. Check with your dealer to see if your car or truck uses pintleless injectors before using a liquid injector cleaner. Use of such cleaners may corrode the injector coil and do no good in the process."
