Squeeking noise -- brakes?

Recently I've noticed a squeeking sound from the rear (when pulling up to say mcd's it seems to get better when I press the brakes and there's one spot in the middle that it seems the worst point. I was told my rear pads have 70% left .. any ideas if it's the brakes? It's driving me nuts along with other drivers :P I really can't hear it inside the I30 because it's sound dampened, but when I open the windows and see other people cring I cring too :P The squeek is kinda constant doesn't change too much in pitch ... seems to happen when I go real slow, along with when I apply the brakes in certain positions

Any help,
Thanks,

InfiniSteve
