Aight this is the real one: '98 SE 5spd VS. '02 GT convert 5spd

I just did this a few hours ago. An acquaintance's car. He has NITTO 555 tires, chrome giovanni wheels, CAI, full exhaust(H pipe and everything), and chip. He also had my 200lb friend in the car.

I had 2 of my old wheels in the trunk along with some beer and other random stuff, including spare(dont know why, dont even got a key for my lugs).

1st and 2nd pretty even 3rd he pulled a bit in the beginning but at the top I pulled back. Overall we went at it a few times with pretty much the same result. Him always winning but not more than a car length. I was pretty impressed. I thought I was going to be demolished. Kid definitely knows how to drive. He left the line with just the right amount of spin it seemed. My launches were never great. First time I tried to race with my new wheels besides the 5th gen I took from a light(see my other thread).
I think his chromes were hurting him. But with his mods I am sure his car is still faster than he was stock. He was very impressed along with my friend who was his passanger. We all agreed he won every time but not by much at all.

PRETTY SWEET STUFF.

Converts do 0-60 in what, 5.9 stock? I know it's 5.6 for GT 5spd coupes. So with his mod's he's probubly a couple ticks faster, so you did good. Good job!

i dont know if hes that good of a driver then.. stock those cars are good for mid 14's properly driven, and with his mods it SHOULD be a high 13 second car.

not trying to take anything away from you, but realistically he should have won.

but hey, your a good driver, and hes bad. good job!

btw, do you have/plan to get (mevi, JWT ecu) with your 14.5 minus those mods, you could be very very low 14's with those mods.

i talked to a dude that knows alot about the stangs...he said its possible it could hit high 13s but that would be with a really good driver...its most likely a low 14 sec car which is weighed down by heavy *** chromes. me being a mid 14 sec car is going to make it close.
