Not sure if it's an alternater problem, but I seem to get this whinning noise when the car is idle. Also, when accelerating the noise elevates as the rpm rises, then goes away at around 3k. I've notice when turning on the cd-player, this whine is heard through-out the speakers when the car is at idle. Even my headlamps, while in neutral, when pressing the gas pedal the lights brighten. When easing off the pedal the headlamps dim. My battery is also fairly new and all my belts were changed a month ago. Need some advise. Thanks.

 

alternator is dieing, go to autozone and have checked

 

had the same prob...it's the alternator...no doubt....

 

Thanks for the heads up.. I needed a second opinion on this. I will give autozone a call to find out price.
