power locks/trunk/alarm - keychain problem

power locks/trunk/alarm - keychain problem
I got a '99 GXE my keychain which controls the pwr locks/trunk/Alarm does not appear to be working I changed the battery in the key chain but it still not working. Anyonne have an idea of whats causing this?
Try reprogramming the remote again.

If that doesn't work, it could simply be a faulty remote.
