how to remove center air vents?

how to remove center air vents?

I was just wondering how i would go about removing the center air vent. The fins on mine are broke. Thanks in advance. Also anyone on here from okc.

they are attached by clips 4 plastic clips

what color are yours? I know someone who has a set of center vents!

pull hard on the top edge then the bottom edge its a pain

Don't make it hard on yourself...Get a flathead screwdriver and start from the middle left or right hand corner of the vent. Carefully pry the side out. YOu should here a click or a pop. Then use your hands to slid the vent out. Very easy, I have been taking it apart 10 times in the last three days trying to check my connections for my satelite radio. Just be careful not to scratch the sides...

Rear Window defrost, Clock and Hazard blinker are all part of the vent assembly.

yup my directions start from one you get the main dash piece out andunplug the three harnesses, the AC vents themselves are attached tot he trim piece with four plastic clips be very careful they are pretty easy to snap and kinda stubborn

broke one of the clips and never bothered to replace it. Kinda cockeyed now. been that way for two years now, and don't even notice it anymore.
