Interior dash kit removal ... HELP!

When i got my max, it came with this faux wood interior dash kit. i want to remove it now. does anyone know how to remove it? i read something about heating up the glue with a blow dryer or using fishing line to cut it off.

any ideas?

Yep, that how you do it.As you did not specify your interior color or model, I will assume you have a tan interior and your model is not a GLE, where the kit is not removable, I believe .

To start Be prepared to spend a lot of time removing remaing glue and chances are it may leave the surface underneath looking a bit dull, especially by the radio where the underlying plastic is black. I don't suggest removing the kit for 2 reasons. The first being it will look better then the factory black center dash. The second being, as I mentioned, it may leave a dull look. If you plan on applying a new dash kit after removal to better suit your tastes you may have something going for you.

Also, just an FYI my car came with an "old man" dash kit in wood as well. I almost didn't buy the car because I hated it so much. Over time I grew to love it and won't be without it. I don't know how long you have had your car, but give the kit a month and a half and see how you feel then. Also find some pics of the original nissan dash. It look like trash, in my opinion.
