help? motor swap and car wont fire
alright - new motor in a maxima, not my first time... once all is complete though, go to start - and well, no luck. by forcing signal to the starter, the car cranks perfectly... but i checked fuel and yeah, the fuel pump was not getting signal. so of course, I went ahead and temporarily switched that on. now at this point the car will crank and get fuel, but will not fire.
by putting 1 and 1 together, I am figuring that there is some sort of switch/harness/safety something that was overlooked during the motor swap (such as park/neutral switch - except that only prevents the car from starting, not from running), and is prohibiting the car from start/running.. but I have checked over and over, can not seem to find anything.
please, someone can help?

I just did and engine swap too, mine cranked fine but the god damn tranny won't engage and i can't go anywhere. It sucks beyond anything thats sucked before. Sorry about venting...i'd say check the fuel pump fuse...it took me about 10-15 cranks to get the new engine to start (it'd been sitting around for awhile)...if its getting fuel, it should crank...all it needs is fuel and air.

IT RUNS! can't say i am not too awful mad about having spent the time to manually wire the fuel pumps etc haha, buttttt it runs now!
turns out, two wiring harnesses, on the drivers side, were not plugged in. one is brown, one is black. they were hidden under a custom box in that corner of my engine bay, so I did not even think about it. I assume those two harnesses go to the fuse box/relays that are right there, and that would explain no ignition, etc.
thanks for the help everyone. time to get this car back where it belongs, the track
