maxspeed or H&R
maxspeed or H&R
okay, i nailed it down to these 2 type of spring(maxspeed n H&R), they both give somewat of an identical drop n soft ride. but price wise, maxspeed is less expensive(maxspeed is $120 n H&R is $214).
based on price, i'm thinkin to go w/maxspeed...but is there another factor that i don't know of? such as quality wise or longevity of the springs?
is H&R springs worth the price???
any help would be appreciated!
btw...i'm pairin up the springs w/tokico blues.

I just put my H&R's on yesterday and they are very impressive. They don't give a slammed look but who needs slammed when the performance of these springs are through the roof.
Just keep in mind that big name company springs.... H&R, Eibach are more expensive because a lot of time has been put into testing many combinations of spring rate, progressiveness, and height to create a better handling spring. These companies employ professional drivers to test combinations of springs to create one that handles well, along with one that is free of bad handling characteristics like snap oversteer. Which is a lot more than smaller spring manufacturers will do, with their limited testing budget.
I have had Maxspeed springs for about 6 months now and have no complaints. The drop is perfect in my opinion but I will admit the ride is rough. I wish I had some new pics of my car so you could see the drop for yourself but I don't. Anyway, I would buy them again in a heartbeat.
so, 4 to 1 in favor of H&R.
the last thing i want to hear livin in Boston, MA.. is hearing that the spring rides harsh...i've driven in offroad that r smoother than these city streets
.
thanks for the inputs guys

I agree. I got H&Rs on my Max. Definitly not a slammed look, but a tastful drop. Enuff to kiss the '4x4' look away. Let the springs set for about a week of normal driving and you'll love the way you can handle a turn at 110mph! I paired mine w/ AGXs on a extra stiff setting.

if you are in boston, i would feel sorry for you if you had anything but H&R's... crossing the train tracks on comm ave or beacon street is brutal, even on stock suspension

so any place sells these H&R springs cheaper than adventon.com???
go with H&R's
But for front use Tokico's HP series - front KYB AGX are bit on the stiff side. With H&R you will get great sport ride .
plus the drop is just right.

it's that good that you should put copyright on it!

Wow, does anyone run on Maxspeed springs these daya? So the H&R springs ride a lot smoother but do they allow the car to corner as well as the stiffer Maxspeed? I may have to look into upgrading.
i got maxspeed. intial drop was dissapointing.. but as for ride quality.. it was just slightly stiffer than stock se suspension..after a cut and settle, the drop is almost perfect..rear is a lil higher. i believe this is a good quality spring for the price. of course there are better, but if you dont plan on doing major racing or autoxing.. these will serve you fine for street/agressing everyday driving use.
