1996 se engine/auto tranny swap via 2001 se?
Greetings:
Does anyone know what the latest model/size engine/tranny (automatic) that i could swap my current engine with? I have a 1996 SE Auto with 173,000 miles on it. It has been sitting for a while (Electrical start up issue/tranny won't go into 4th gear, plus tranny really weak up hills. Should i fix it and or should i get a nwer motor and matching tranny/computer and rebuild the original engine. Could i get a 2001 SE motor tranny combo to fit with a hassle? I still opt to keep my original motor tranny should this swap option be possible, please help!
