Re: Scraped Bottom of Car (Piping damaged)

I was going up a driveway to Blockbuster and all of a sudden i hear a scrape under my car.. the front was damaged... which i was tryin' not to doin' up that small incline... i parked and saw something hanging.. i believe it's from the b-pipe.. but a sheet of metal off of the pipe is hanging out right no.. i can't take it out cuz half of it is still on.. what can i do besides buying a whole new b-pipe?

Will it be okay jus to take off the sheet metal?

thanx!

There isn't any piping under the front end except for the y-pipe which doesn't hang very low and doesn't have any cover over it. You probably just pulled off one of the splash guards under the nose.

The b-pipe is in the rear.

I am no exhaust expert but from being under the car from time to time I really don't think its your B-pipe. Most likely you just tore the heat shielf off of the cat like KLoWnPR109 said. Either that or you tore up your muffler which would be more towards the rear but it is very unlikely that your B-pipe is hanging down from where it is located in the car.
