The rear is another story because it's part of the unibody. As long as the frame is not bent you can just have a bodyshop cut out and weld in a new fender. But it's an inticate welding job that you'll have to leave to a bodyshop.

If there is no insurance and money is an issue, then do this;

1) Get a bodyshop esitmate for all the repairs. This will give you a list of parts that are damaged.

2) Determine which of those you can sawpo yourself from junkyard parts, like fender/headlights, bumper

3) Go back to the bodyshop with the crunched rear and new odd-colored front parts, and pay them to fix the rear plus paint all the new parts.

This is not gonna be cheap. My guess is the initial estimate is gonna be between US$5-6k

I had the same accident !@@!!

in mid January - the highway was covered with ice and i lost control at 55MPH- i hit the median , bounced off, spun 2 times and hit with the rear - dang- brand new Kumho 716 tires had worse traction than 2 years old Michellins.
but my damage wasn't even close to that !!!! insurance paid over 6K to fix it.

good luck with the repairs - if the front control arm is bent and needs to be replaced - i'd say totall it .

glad You are ok !!!

is your wrist swollen and hurting really bad from steering whell rebound ??? mine did like crazy !!!!

Nick.

Im glad to see the Airbag didnt come out, I used to have a '94 tbird...for a month... and when I gave it flying lessons and landed upside down in a ditch i got some horrible cuts on my wrists, hands, face and a broken nose (blood and everything) from the airbag.. i got some serious steering wheel rebound too on both wrists..and I can't forget that the 'friendly' Georgia State Patrol officer was nice enough to write me 2 tickets!...bacon...oink..oink..

The same thing happened to me while i was driving my 300zx. I had just gotten my front stillen nose piece put on. I was travelling down a winding road about 65, when the wheels couldn't grab on the road. I went into the guard rail and bounced into the other side of the road. My car was totalled I couldn't drive it home. I opt for a different car once i knew my car was gone.
My 300zx looked like your car, it's probably better just to opt for a used max if this one is too much to fix.

Glad you're OK, man. Get well and play the lotto lot more.

good question ...

But once the car been in the body shop after the accident - it's never be the same my max had minor front passenger side damage - body shop replaced front quater panel , they got the hood straighten out and front bumper cover was repainted along with hood and q-panel + replaced corner light, and lower control arm supposely was bent.

for rear - they did some body work to straighten the rear q-panel
and repalced rear tailight .

with the price tag of more than $6000 !!!

insured by USAA , work done by Gerber Auto Network.

CAR IS NOT THE SAME !!!

Eh, you probably should file a police report if you were involved in a hit and run if you haven't already.

yea if u got hit and then u lost control, u should definitely file a report. why should u pay for someone else's error. I say if u find the person, take them to the cleaners.
