Quick question

Anyone here try to do the start button mod? like on the s2000.
where you just press the button to start the car.

how hard would it be to do this mod? I really really don't see it being a very hard mod. But just curious on feedback.

Pep boys offers kits, theres already 2 threads about the same thing just on the first page.

 

what? lol i got the idea from seeing another thread asking about a start button, but it was more for security reasons... since he mentioned you'd have to press the button and turn the switch...

Oh ok...but like i said PepBoys offers those kind of kits where you mount a button somewhere and it starts your car for you. The down side to these are that you have to turn your ignition to "ON" before you press it, which is pretty pointless because if you turn the key another CM you'll start the car also. Pretty pointless unless you completely remove your ignition and rewire everything so you dont have to turn the key, but then you have no security and anyone can steal your car!

It is a neat idea! What you could do is wire it up so it starts with a push switch instead of the ignition, and then hide a kill switch somewhere when you leave your car...BUT, if a thief does try to steal your car he'll get ****ed that hes not going anywhere and prolly vandalize the crap outta your car!
