suspension upgrade for towing

I'm in the process of setting up my '98 SE to tow a couple of motorcycles. I've heard a few people recommend beefing up the suspension for towing. Any recommendations on what works best?

I live in Chicago, home of some seriously crappy roads, so I don't want to stiffen the ride too much.

Also, I'm a newbie mechanic considering doing the work myself. How difficult is suspension work?

I tow on Eibachs, but I think you'll be perfectly fine on stock suspension. Just don't let the tounge weight get above 80lbs or so.

New shocks might help a bit if your stock ones are worn, but otherwise all springs are going to do is lower you.

Throw a set of AGX shocks in the back and dial up the firmness level a bit to control the load better.
