We don't have headers, it's a Y-Pipe!

how do we not have headers? dont all cars have headers? plus i heard for the 5th gen it adds 20hp so why would headers work for the 5 gen and not the 4 gen?

We have headers for our cars and people make them. Our cars were built with good headers unlike the "made in china" honda ****s.
They only give like a 5HP gain and for what $1500? Get a y-pipe more effective all the way around.

people have ported and polished them with very little gain. 5hp i think on a SC max. waste of time and money. the downpipe/y pipe is what you need...

You can gain about 15 of those 20 hp from a y pipe. Y-pipe = $300. Headers = at least $600 plus 8 hours of install which is another $500 or so minimum. You judge for yourself if 5hp is worth $1100 dollars. Also good luck finding a company that makes headers for our car. I know of only one.

Apparently you guys don't understand the diff. between headers and manifolds. Headers tend to have a tubular design vs. the square or "log" style stock manifolds. No one has really tried a well enginered set of headers on our cars. There's a HUGE diff. between a ported / polished manifold and a set of headers. I know that someone had a set of headers from New Zealand but they were terribly enginered and showed minimal gains. Suposedly OBX is working on a set for the 4th gen but they've been saying that for 1.5+ years.
You guys need to learn the diff. between headers and stock "log" style manifolds.
