hmmm, for 6800 your not getting a great deal but your not getting beat. But since it was at an auction, that should drop the value imo...

if you like the color and cloth interior , go for it - but set the price lets say at $6000 out the door - and tell them to play with the number any way they want , but you not spending a dime more.
if the dealer wont budge , leave and come back few days later.
come back with cash or preapproved check for $6000

for 8700 out the door , fleet vehicle sold at auction
now at 125K not a single problem since.

i'm also looking to buy a 97 maxima gxe with 125k miles from an original owner. Physical condition looks good for a six year old car, small dings and scratchhes, all original paint and bone stock. owner claims no accident, had transmission flushes, and brakes recently replaced. test drove felt sluggish compared to other 95-97 in this mileage. i drove about ten maximas today and the only two that felt sluggish was this another GXE, coincidence?!? and also 10 out of 10 had oil leaks or heavy residue, why i don't know. someone can probably explain.

 

i had the same car....97 gxe- same color and everything. with 32k i bought it for 9G's. u should get that car for 5gs
