help diagnose: bumping noise with speed

edit: its not really a bump noise as much as a helicopter noise ...
lately ive been noticing a small bumping noise that gets faster as the car travels faster. seems to come from the front driver side but could be just the whole front.
what it sounds like: ever hear a wheel not tightened correctly? its like that but everything is tight. actually its not as scary sounding
cv boots seem to be in good shape.
noise got a little louder and its very consistent.
well, any help is appreciated before i bring it to the dealer. thank you

whats up maxeja, long time no talk, i bought the stillen lip from you over a year and a half ago

anyway it happens all the time. straight roads it goes 'bupbupbup' at a regular pace then when i turn and the weight is on my right side, itll make a little harsher noise. im going to jus take my wheels off today and throw my stockers on to make sure its not the wheels.
it sounds just like when my friends wheel was falling off his car

I'm thinking a tire is making the noise.

been while, i ended up goin with the stillen lip as well on my car in the end.. i was hit bout a year ago buy a drunk kit so it called for me to redo everything.. Tires have to be it.. maybe there is a band broken in side or something, usually the sign of that tho is a bubble.. But i think trying the otehr tires is a good process of elimination.

i have a similar sound... it mostly happens around 30-50 mph, never on the freeway at 70+. i was thinking its my wheel bearing, but when i tried to shake the wheel while the car was off the ground, it didnt move at all, so i'm not sure what it is.

is it kinda of a oscillating noise, like "wum-wum-wum-wum", and it gets faster the faster you go? it could be a out of round tire, or one that is cupped, or flat spotted. i have a tire that has a flat spot, and i get that noise...

Re: help diagnose: bumping noise with speed

Sounds like a CV joint.

Does it change at all when you turn?

Wheel bearings and CV joints typically change sound when turning.

DFWmax is kind of on the money- yes it is somewhat oscillating. like a wavering rolling sound. sometimes it comes in sets of 4. and if i shift weight to the one side of the car it turns constant.
there is no clicking noise on turns or any changes really while turning.
wheels are being switched tomorrow morning

update: changed back to my good ol stockers today. the noise is still here. ok the prospective culprits are the cv joints and the wheel bearings, the left side is making the majority of noise, and when the right side is leaned upon, noise comes up from there too. it kind of sounds like horse running
