Review: Rota Sub-Zero & KYB Struts & Kuhmo 712

Hey all, I just put my sub-zeros on and I am disappointed. The center caps are not even close to fitting... Has anyone else ran into this problem? I have the 45mm offset, they look great and ride good (once I find a shop to align my front wheels) but, there is about 3/4 of an inch too small. I also was experiencing hard bumps when I go over even the smallest hole or dip in the road. I have my struts set on 4-front (no fstb) 5-back (rsb) w/ sprints 2" drop. As for the driveabilty issues, this car does not drive like a OEM maxima as you would suspect with the mods on the suspension. Cornering is as smooth as say...B M W !!!! Really though, the car drives excellent on or off the highway, seemlessly swerving through rush-hour traffic is a breeze too. As for mph and/or acceleration, I would say that these mods definatly made the 0-20,0-60 and 1/4 mile times all drop tremendously, due only to the car's ability to stick to the ground like epoxy.
My (suspension only)setup includes:
17" Rota Sub-Zero 16.2 lbs. 2nd gen Gunmetal w/ Silver Lip
Kuhmo Ecsta 712 235/45/17 Z-rated
Progress RSB
KYB/AGX 8-Way Struts

This car isn't the same anymore...bye bye Mr. Type R Integra!!!!!

Your 17" wheels plus the line below is the reason why.

I have my struts set on 4-front (no fstb) 5-back (rsb) w/ sprints 2" drop.

Tremendously, I'm sure

I had the same problem My backs stayed and fronts are gone. I had to use a grinder and shave the inside down. but they did not stay. bad design!
I have the 16" slipstreams. 13.5 ls each they are nice.

and for the center caps, just shave the inside a little, but keep checking so the fit remains niiiice and snug

18x7.5 45mm rota subzeros
235/40-18 kumho 712
no other suspension mods. Pretty good ride and grip for the price ($500 rims $500 tires). I can't say it accelerates better cuz this setup weighs more than stock steelies and more weight resides @ the rim than center. However, braking is much improved with new grippy tires. There is a good amount of road feel through the rims/tires with my stock setup, and I hope to get more feel when I get agx/gc later.
Maybe you've read my other thread, but i'm getting oversteer right now. 36psi all around. What do u guys run with 235/40-18?
Jae

btw, i left the centercaps off. The fake CF/plastic look cheazy w/the nice rims.
And I'm not happy w/the rims themselves. 7.5 wide shouldn't be paired with 235wide...too narrow. And 45mm offset won't clear any big brake calipers.
