I just purchased a 98 max GXE in sterling mist (automatic) with 48,000 miles....yet, it seems that when the car is shifting gears at about 40 mph and 60 mph it makes this moaning noise and as it gains speed until it changes the gear. Is this normal or do i need this to be checked?

 

lol... sorry... I dont really know about the moaning sound but my car seems to speed up by itself right before it changes gear as well..

 

well....it occurs as i press the gas and let the car gain speed.....yet it moans or kinda makes a vibration as it does this....only at 40 or 60 miles

 

yep.. mines really loud at 45mph and its annoying the **** out of me.. when it gets under 40mph it goes away.. when it goes over 60 I can berly hear it if its even there.. I hear that crap over my radio at 45mph we'll see if it really is my tires tomorrow.

EDIT: ERRRR Sorry wrong post... lol I meant to post this in the humming sound thread.. humming.. moaning.. confused me.
