CAI giving me problems

hey whats up i was just wondering if anybody ever had this problem. i had my intake for about 3 weeks (injen) and this week on my way to work my car started pulling like it was choking and when i put it in netural the rpms were bouncing right under 1rpm and when i step on the gas it studders then it chatches i thought it was the fuel pump but i taped the air hose the car died so i checked for cracked hoses kepted messing with them and it stopped but today it started again should i take the intake off and put the stock air box on to see if it contiues or what.

u might have a vacuum leak somewhere, check and see if any of hte hoses are damaged, if not check the filter itself and see if it is all seated properly, otherwise im not sure what else it could be, good luck!

well i see i am missing a screw on the lower part of the intake but could one screw make that much difference?

I had that problem once w/ my Injen. See, when I installed mine, I didn't realize that one of the hose sections was upside down, so the "INJEN" didn't read right. So a couple days after the install I noticed this, and decided to take it apart to fix that hose section. I put it back together and that's when I had the problem like you have. the tach would drop really low and then pop back up to 1000 or so, and sometimes it would die if I didn't blip the throttle.
So I looked at the intake and saw that one of the hose sections wasn't clamped tight all the way around. So I took the clamps off of that hose and retightened them. Problem solved.
