brighten my '97 clearence lights

so i got the directions on how to brighten my clearence lights. now it says 95-96 and 97+, so i get the light housing out and pull the bulb out and the nubs are the same damn size. i cant clip either of them. so i was wondering if anyone has directions to brighten them for a 97 maxima? thanks.

Yeah they are suppsed to be the same size. Use some sort of a metal file or dremel tool to shave off the nub, I forget which one you are supposed to remove though. The goal is to install the bulb backwards, the nub prevents this so that's why you need to get rid of it.

Remove/cut/clip the upper one (closest to the bulb glass part) and put electric tape on it. Then make sure the bottom nub goes where the top nub should be.

I just switched the wires around and resoldered them. Very easy job, took about 10mins tops. Plus, I didnt have to damage my $8 Polarg bulbs (Too d@mn expensive!!!)
