Y-pipe hissing - Suggestions?

I bought a used y-pipe (Warpspeed I think) I've had it on for a few months now and all seems fine except this hiss that I hear all the time. Doesn't seem to matter what RPM range, temp, etc. Any suggestions on where it could be coming from? I got under the car with it running to try to pin point it but no luck.

I don't seem to have the bees in a can noise, but will the flex section give a hiss as well? The last time I checked it wasn't pulling any codes.

Any one know where the hissing sound comes from on a y-pipe? Any suggestions on how to stop it? I have to go through emmisions in the next few months so I wanted to have this resolved, not sure if they would fail me if they hear it or not.

Thanks

i would advise to buy exhaust/header wrap. i picked up a 25ft roll from summit for pretty cheap. most all the noise is gone and all i wrapped was a few inches before the flex and right to the end of it. you can find some wrap pretty cheap on ebay too. i bought 1" and wish i had gotten 2" to make it easier.

Thanks. I was thinking about that. Did you have a hiss as well?

yeah and it gets even worse in higher temps because the air is less dense and supposedly the metal in the flex section will expand a little. some guys say their wrap smells real bad but i bought a brand where you actually spray the wrap with water before you apply it and just crank it up after its on and ive never had the bad smoke or unpleasant smells.

maybe wrap it first with aluminum foil before you put on the header wrap to make it more air tight
