question on correct rpms...

just got a 5 speed I30 and it seems to idle low and run high rpms.....it idles about at 400 rpms and when I am going 70 or so the rpms are at 4k...is this correct? Im asking because my auto 95 max has much different rpm characteristics!

5 spd's idle higher are u accelerating at 70 @ 4k or is that while ur cruising at 70? it should be more around 3500 or so at 70, but all cars are different by 100 - 200 rpm generally
