Installing a new rear wheel hub bearing assembly - advice?
Installing a new rear wheel hub bearing assembly - advice?
The folks at Les Schwab showed me that my rear passenger side wheel is flopping around really bad. Apparently the wheel bearing is toasted. According to my Chilton's manual, I cannot replace just the bearing itself, because it is a non-removable part of the rear hub. And it's gonna cost $100 just to buy the replacement part at Schuck's.
So I have some questions:
1) Does anyone know where I can get the hub assembly for cheaper?
2) Do I need any special tools to move the ABS sensor ring from the old hub to the new one?
3) What size socket do I need to remove that big lock nut?
Also, any tips/advice for the install job would be greatly appreciated.
