Checked coils, all checked out fine, did I do it correctly?
Well, I was finally able to remove the ignition coils off my car (rear ones were a real pain!)
In any case, following instructions off the Haynes manual, I placed positive lead wire to terminal 1 and terminal 2 to the negative. That showed no numbers to indicate infinite resistance.
Now for the continuity i reversed the leads and checked that. They seem to be above 50ohms each. With my reader, it only shows below or above 50ohms. If below 50ohms it beeps and that's it which indicates a short.
Then I placed a lead to terminal one, and another lead to the side on which the spark plug connects directly on in the boot. That checked out to be infinite aswell.
So my question is, did I do this all correctly? If not, what did I do wrong? If I did it correctly, what should I check next? I was thinking spark plugs since they're already exposed.
Problem: The problem which i'm trying to solve is that I get thumps and bumps feeling when i'm at idle.

well, while at a redlight or sitting there at idle, i'll get thumps. that goes thump thump.. thump.. thump thump thump.. thump thump....... thump x8... seems like it's about ready to die out on me. As for the idle jumping up and down alot, i havent actually had the chance to look at that, and i'm not placing in the coil packs back in just yet. I might as well change the plugs while i'm at it and all... Havent gave the car a tune up since I bought it. It has around 13,000 miles on it, but it's a 99, so a tune up is called for I suppose.
