Ignition Switch problem??

Having a problem with the ignition switch. On a very hot day when I turn the ignition I get power to the car but the car doesn't start. After fiddling around with the ignition switch it will eventually start. But somedays it takes longer than others to start the car. Is this a problem with the ignition switch or could it be something else? Thanks for your help!!!

Try this, have someone hold the key at the cranking position and bang the starer with a small hammer or somthing. if it starts, you have a starter problem. i had the same problem a while after i changed the starter, so i took it to a michanic and it was the ignition switch. he fixed it for $90 including labor.

My '95 Se 5spd had the same problem. I took it to Nissan, and they replaced the ignition switch for 75 dollars(part and Labor).

I had hte prob, fixed it for 33$ shipped, buy a new ignition switch from www.newnissanparts.com or local dealer(but online seems better to me) VERY VERY easy to replace.
