how to get upper brake lines off the car?

I took the clip off that sepeate the steel line & rubber ones and then I turned the 10mm bolt with a wrnech... it was so hard to turn i ended up stripping half the bolt and then I tried vice grip to hold the bottom and turn it... still nothing

I got the bottom connectors out really quick but the top lines is stuck

I'll take some pics soon

I believe you need a set of Vise-Grips to hold the bottom half. I learned this after I screwed my up doing my first brake job with the Wilwoods.

You stripped it because you needed to use a flare nut wrench instead of a normal wrench. Flare nut wrenches are mentioned on almost every brake line thread
Now that you've stripped it a vise is the only way you're going to get it off.

it is not totally stripped.. only half the bolt is stripped I'll just turn it around with the vice grip and find a flare nut wrench (got a pic of those?)
