ECU reader for palm pilot

Sorry. I mistakenly posted this under the 5th generation site also.

I saw on Maxima.org a couple of weeks ago somebody had a device that hooks up to a palm pilot, and then to the cars computer so that you can do the diagnostics on it, much like the Nissan Consult computer does. Anybody out there know where I can get my hands on one of those. I checked on ebay where somebody was selling kits that hook up to a laptop, but I want to go the palm pilot way. Thanks.

I have a friend who got one off of Ebay. I'll see if I can get the name of the company that makes it, and you can check them out on the web. It's pretty cool...shows all you sensor readings, etc real-time.

hi...I did some research on it,and the sodftware is developed by a company named Auterra. There is a web site available, but at this point,I think that e-bay has better figures. The software is quite nice (I don t have it yet ,but still thinking )but is as far I know just generic. Nissan s Consult is able to do more than the auterra software (for example, program new transponder keys for 99 & up),but you can t find a Consult anywhere. On top of that I would imagine to be very expensive. Hope that this little info helps you. Good luck.

I'm still looking for info on hooking up a palm pilot to the engines computer like the Nissan Consult. I saw somebody had one hooked up, looked really cool, but I was not smart enough to keep the website.
Thanks.

The only thing that this sounds like is the conzult system, but that's on a laptop. I emailed them regarding the conzult system that worked on the palm or on pocket pcs but they said they had plans but no dates set yet.

Dianostics, I think auterra was the one that told you what the ecu codes were, if you're looking for something to tell you what the nissan consult tells you then nothing rings a bell.
