The other day I was cleaning my car and i notices water in the spare tire well. I checked the rubber seal, it looked fine with no holes. The car was rear ended (damn SUV) and fixed over a year ago. Any ideas??

Thanks

hey, this was my first problem that i had a question on this site about. anyway, what happended to me was that i needed a new weather stip, it was 150 from a nissan dealer, parts and labor. however, you could have a more serious problem since you talked about the accident. the best thing to do is take it to nissan and ask them to check it out for you. they will spray it down or whatever. later. good luck.

Couple years ago on Halloween night, some a$$hole put a big rock thru my rear window. Got a new one installed and later noticed there was water coming in. On further inspection I noticed it was coming in thru the plastic inserts that the rear window moulding is mounted to. If you remove the rear window moulding in the lower middle where the trunk lid meets up with the rear window, you can see some white plastic inserts where the phillips screws go into. This was causing my leak and I just put some sealant there and it stopped leaking. Hope this helps. Good luck.
