guys I just got my max 2 days ago and it only has 24,102 miles on it. today i was driving and suddenly the "SERVINCE ENGINE SOON" light came on. Im so upset and stressed now, what is up with the car? is it something big? wth is wrong with my max.

 

ANYONE pleasE? i just pay **** load for this car, wth is wrong?

i just checked the faq's and did what it said. i got 4 long flashes and then 10 really fast ones, but the site says that the code is wrong :\

mate, i did the test again and this time it gave me 05 and 05. i went back to faqs and entered the code, it tells me that no failure was detected, if so why is the light on? should i reset it?

 

Yeah reset ECU (the screw turning way) and see if the code comes back.

same problem here but i think mine have something to do with the 60k maintance. i heard that why my light is on at 56k. is it true?

 

No, you will not get a CEL if you miss a tune-up. However the CEL means that something is malfunctioning. Pull the codes first, and then reset it and see if it comes back.

 

well, the light has been off since last time i pulled the code, the light has been off for 24 hours! at least thats a relief. Could anyone possibly explain why it went on in 1st place ? is it because my gas tank is 20% full or could it be the 25k mile maintaince ? anything at all?

 

What changed in the last little while? New plugs, something unplugged and plugged back in?

NOTHING changed, i checked the code once, then checked it again 20 min after. thats all i did, after the 2nd time i checked the code, i went back to house and decided not to think about the car anymore. so 2-3 hours after, i went back and turned it on. the light was off and it has been off ever since. it has been off for 33 hours now
