Considering i do a fair amount of welding i have to toss in my $.02

#1. Too much heat...the steal is burned on a few spots - too much heat = holes.

#2 Those welds look horrible.

#3 Inside needs SERIOUS pollishing and clean up...

#4 $400 is too much money for 20$ worth of piping and 2-3 hours time.

i second that with absolutely no welding expirience...i hope your production version is much much cleaner and better looking, and ur asking price (wasnt it originally $499) is way too high for minimal gains

Now anyone is up to a test fitment? we will be adding the EGR port at the installation time.

Maxima Candidate Requirements:

The car should be in Good Mechanical Condition and serviced regularly.

1) Within driving range to Nashua, NH.
2) Available this week, car would be in the shop for 1 day.
3) Boosted, NA, Y-pipe, Auto, 5-speed are all Okay.
4) Owner can keep the headers (he will be only paying the cost of the headers). We will cover the shop fees.

Cattman is fabricating headers now that run from the engine
to the Cat. Replacing the whole y-pipe it's self. It sounds
good but like you all are saying we need DYNO's to be sure
iansw knows more about this than i do hopefully he'll post
here and give more info on it.

Nashua...

If you want to sell the headers give 2 pairs of them away, i KNOW you are making a killing selling them for $400 so give 2 pairs away to the testers. If its a solid product with good dyno results people will buy it...give a little to make a lot.

Ok, here is the final deal:

You pay $400, you get installed at a Pro Shop (EGR port has to be added) and provide before and after dyno runs, we will refund you $400. So, basically we are offering 2 free sets.

When do we pay, then get refunded? I am in the Boston Area so if you are giving them away, I might be the "test subject" if you guys still need one.
Thanks,
Dan

By the way I have a 99 SE-L Cali spec, with auto tranny.

Dan, Yes we are still looking.

You pay at the delivery, You will get your money back when you submit before and after dyno. It would be nice if you post an independent review of the installation.

Will we get it in writing that we get our money back? I live in CO but would be more than happy to do it if that's the case. Also, are you paying for install? I can do everything myself except for welding the EGR fitting. please let me know.

We need local Maxima owners, I need to add ER ports, one for the test car and one to other one I have so I can to ship it back to the factory. Then, the EGR port wwould be added to all mass production headers.

The offer is very clear, and if you do not trust me enough, please wait till you buy your headers once you see the dyno sheets!

for the test car, it would be $400. 100% refundable after submission of before and after dyno.

If you want I can do this:

If
1) I can document installation, adding the EGR
2) Get the before and after dyno runs files and printout of the Dyno.
3) You post an independent review.

if 1) and 2) can be done on the same day at the same shop and I will be there, you do not have to pay me $400 and then I don't have refund you the $400. You get the headers for FREE, you have to pay only the installation and dyno fees.

Frankly it is like a 15-18 nuts that have to be removed and then installed. the rear might be a bit tough to replace. I was quoted 4-6 hrs, however, I do not think it should take more than 2hrs.

Torgus, you have only to pay for dynos runs (a $100) add an EGR port and do the installation (if it's DYI, Thats is even better it would be FREE). The headers is yours to keep. Just post an independent review for the sake of people here and submit the soft version of the dyno runs!...

Nothing is going to get done, no one will ever dyno, these headers will not sell, they will not produce power, and that's the way it will always be.
