How do you set base idle on 4g maximas?

I have a 1998 infiniti I30 and I feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel when the car is warm and in drive at idle. I have checked all the ignition coils and fuel injectors, and I think the problem is the idle isnt adjusted properly. My question is how do you then set the base idle? I know it is controlled by the ecu, but if you turn the idle air controll valve counter clock wise you can increase the idle some. The problem with this is that you have to set the neutral idle around 800-900 rpms before it stops vibrating and that isnt right. DO you have to disconnect the tps sensor while doing this?

Is it auto or manual? Manual idle should be ~700 in neutral while automatic is 800-900 in neutral...

To change the idle the TPS sensor has to be disconnected.
Turn the car off, disconect the TPS sensor. Start the car then turn the idle control screw to your desired base idle.
