A jack *** hit my car when it was parked. it was 6 hours before my 21 bday. i was at a yankee game to relax and njoy my 3 days off from work. and i get a call that my car was backed into by the person who lives across the street from my aunts. its not bad but i still have to drive around on my bday with a dented car. and to top it all off the yanks lost!! i got all info, but they goin away for the week, so at least 2 weeks will pass b4 anything is done.

well at least you know who did it and insurance will cover it. I came out after work and ended up paying 600 dollars for my dent

Why would your insurance rates go up if your insurance doesn't even pay for the damages? If you know the person who backed up into you, then they have to pay, and therefore, your insurance rates do not go up

some insurance companies will get stupid and consider you a 'higher risk driver' since you were involved in an accident..whether it be your fault or theirs... hasn't happened to me in any of my wrecks, but I guess Geico is an alright company..Originally posted by SupaMaxima

Most insurance comapnies that are no in no-fault states will raise your insurance premiums whenever they have to pay out for you and cannot collect from another person. This includes hit-and-run, vandalism etc, even though they are not your 'fault'.
Surprisingly, a lot of insurance comanies will not jack your rates in a deer strike.
