0507 Code fixed?

0507 Code fixed?
So I ran this code a few weekes ago. I took it to the dealership to see if they could fix it. I told them what code it was and they ran a test to find out where the leak was. Well come to find out they couldn't find ANYTHING. So they reset the code and didn't charge me for the $160.00, just the standard $40.00 or whatever for them to start looking at it. The stealerships saying to bring it back it the light comes back on, and I'm yeah sure, whatever. Well after several weeks of resetting the light and making sure it was still bringing up the same code I had to head back to school (a 5 hour drive). Normally the light would come back on if driving around all day. After 2 hours I stopped to fill up...there was no CEL. It was about that time, so I poured some gas treatment into the tank and filled up. It's been a week since the treatment and no light. Normally after a few days from resetting the light it would come back on. Think the problem might be gone, or just some quick fix? I'm confused because I thought that code meant I needed a new valve. Anyways, maybe it will stay away. Any ideas on this one?

I had the 0705 code randomly pop on me from time and time again, but I could never find the source of the leak. Then finally I got a 0705 and a 0309 which meant the EVAP canister vent valve was stuck open causing the EVAP leak. I replaced the EVAP vent valve and the charcoal canister (it weighed about 4 pounds and Nissan recomends to change them once they get that heavy) and the problem has not shown up ever since.

WOW - no more SES light (0309 0507)
OK - I've been getting the code: 0309 for quite some time (about 20k miles) and each time I simply reset the ECU and the problem went away for a month+. Recently it was returning about every 2 weeks or so with the code 0309 0507. I came to this site (as I have in the past) and by accident, I entered 0309 and 0705 and got this post. I read it and 98BlackMax NAILED my problem. I had thought my problem was w/the EVAP system, but there were so many places it could be. FINALLY, I read this post and over the weekend, I changed the canister and the valve which took about 1 hour and reset the ECU. No problems and I suspect that I won't have any. I'm so psyched!!! As for the weight of the charcoal box, yea - it was about 4ish pounds.
I'm putting this here so that incase someone else has a similar problem, they can troubleshoot it and fix it themselves!!!
