My car alarm will occassionally go off for know no reason!!!
It used to happen occationally but I thought I just hit the alarm button in my pocket. Today it happened when my keys were sitting next to me and when they were hanging up on a key hook!!! What Is wrong? Also is there a way to dissable the alarm button on my key fob? Is there a fuse I can temporarily pull untill I get it fixed? It is really embarassing to have this happen in a public place place and it scares the he11 out of my neighbors when they hear it. Please help my max is sitting in my front yard unlocked!!!

Witch battery are you talking about?
I tested the car battery and it is fine but Im not sure about the one on my keys.
Anyone else???

 

put the alarm on vallet until you get it fixed.

i'm sorry i read the top run, i thoght you had a factory alarm with an aftermarket alarm.

i'm not sure but i think that there is a fuse for the oem alarm.

 

OK... I pulled the fuse and the alarm is disabled.
does anyone one know how to FIX it? I hate not having the alarm.

 

Check the battery in the remote. There was a post about it causing stock alarms to go off intermittently. Worth a try, and it can only be a couple $'s. No matter what, you'll know you have a fresh battery.
