Painting my Altezza's

I want to paint my chrome Altezzas black to match my trunk. I just want to paint the two pieces that are attached to the trunk, to give a kind of Lex IS 300 look (the only thing I can compare it too)...

1) Is there a special kind of paint I should use?
2) How to I separate the plastic cover, and then re-attach it securely?

use paint from www.paintscratch.com, to open use a heat gun. Likewise to close. However if you're wanting it to look like an IS300 then don't open them and paint them. Just paint on the lens.

Check my homepage. It's got pics of what it'll look like when your done. And yes, it's on a black 4th gen.
I dont feel like doing another write up on the process but you can email me with your number or I'll send mine to you and I can walk you through it step by step.
