Need Coilover noise reduction tips.

Does anybody know what I can do to redce noise from the coilovers I will be installing this weekend. I want to just get the noise reduction methods done BEFORE I install them. I was reading to use some radio shack/home depot gasket material. Any other ideas? Also any pics of how you should wrap the coilovers?

Thanks,
-Nick

sup man did you receive the package yet ???

those ground controls are pretty quiet. you will get some noise. make sure you use the rubber o rings i included with the package.

if you need more you can buy those in at pep boys.

you will get a little cluning from the back. i have yet to fijnd a way to get ride off that.

let me know though.

oh on emore thing in the front your strut bearings will sit right on top of the top hat for the coil overs. everythime you jack your car up before you bring the car down make sure you put some grease on the bearing and stick the strut bearing to the top so it seats in place right. if not you run the risk off crushing the strut bearing. (its the round circle disk i included.

I'm hoping to get the Progress/Cattman coilovers very soon. Anyone used them or heard anything positive/negative about them?

Yes they are Ground Control Coilovers. The problem I am having is when I hit bumps the Suspension makes a creaking/crunching sound. It is especially from the rear suspension. I just got done installing KYB AGX's with Groung Control Coilovers. Any Ideas on what I should do? I was thinking about wrapping the springs with the insolator wrap from Radio Shack, but I dunno.

If this is for the GC / AGX setup I would try hitting up a hardware store or even a pool suppy place for slightly larger/thicker o-rings for the front struts. I just put mine in last weekend and I know the o-ring will probably snap (because so thin) cuz thin and front strut assembly turns and so will the sleeve causing rubbing and friction. The back shocks and GC sleeve fit great nice and tight and snug dont know why they didnt do better job with front (prob for the turning factor). Good luck, love my lowered max now does so much for it. And watch out for sand ...spun mine out and put back bumper into a guardrail trying out new suspension. Oh well, better get a body kit!
