Other than the suspension, the only possible differences that you will/may have on your GLE are:
black instead of white gauges
possibly no fog lights
15" sawblade rims instead of 16" star rims
GLE on trunk instead of nothing
Chrome on handles and grille instead of body color
possibly no spoiler
Did I miss anything?
If you're going to spend some money to change it, why not make it unique instead of looking like just another SE.

The spoiler will definitely 'sport' up the appearance. Depending on how much you have to spend, rims will make a diffence but your long term, performance/looks trade-off should be taken into consideration before a purchase. The rear window spoiler can also add a little 'sport' as well for not too much $$$ if you like the look.
If you really want fog lights for fog lights, do it. If you just want to dress up the front, a grill mod may be a cheaper way to start if cost is an issue.

get the SE wheels, spray paint ur chrome window trim black, get fogs, get spoiler. IMO GLE has better interior(wood trim and stuff)BUT u can get hte white guages for a sporty look.

i can understand that you like the se better....i know i do. that's why i got it. but like techie said, if you are going to spend money on your car make it unique. as far as appearance goes if you get a spoiler, rims and foglights, most people will not knot the difference between any models of maximas. be it gxe, gle, or se. the only real reason i got my se is for the 5 spd. if i had found a gxe 5 spd first, i would have bought that. everything else that i wanted on the car, i have put in myself. do whatever makes you happy. if you want to spend a$$loads of money making your gle look like se, go for it.
