help! maxima wont start
hey i have a 96 maxima with over 130,000 miles on it and it has problems starting. i replaced the starter and battery recently. when i turn the key nothing happens it. i dont here the starter. it only happens some times though. you have to keep turning the key on and off like 20 times before it will start. anyone who has any info on this problem please let me know cause i actually just sold the car and now the kid wont leave me alone about it. please help. is it the igntion maybe? i dont know. any info would greatly be appreciated. thanks so much.

Did you have a system in there? I had this problem recently but a new starter fixed it. I found out maxima electrical systems aren't to good so I dont use my subs anymore. Hope this helps, sry if it dont. Didn't this kid know it had a prob starting when he bought it?

Most probably ingnition switch (where the key goes) or sticky starter motor (bad grease). Use a meter and check that voltage gets to the starter solenoid when the key is turned to the START position. If it is, then the sticky motor is probably the culprit. If it is not, then most likely the switch.
