The grill is wider I think, not sure. I know that if you put a 96 grill on a 97 bumper there are gaps. So no, it's not a perfect fit...

I'm getting a 97 bumper and grill this week. I'll try the grill on the 96 and I'll tell you how it looks...

i have a 96 and i was thinking of doing it, it is the same width but you will have a small gap between the bumper and the grill, it doesn't look to bad , ask around for some pics.

Yes, the '97+ grilles will fit on the '95-'96's. I had a '97 on my '95. It's a direct swap, except the slants on the sides of the '97+ grilles must be trimmed down 3/4" in order to meet flush with the bumper of the '95-'96's. Yes, there will be a slight gap, but if you trim the grille right, it's hardly noticeable unless you're right up on it.

The grill does look better, the chrome bar kinda sucks. But the bumper is kinda ****ed up looking and the 97-99 looks way better. I've been taken over by madness and am converting to the evils side...
