97+ Catback on a 95-96?

Hello,

Does anyone know if the 97-98 stock catback fits a 96? Is there any possibility it can sit flush with the bumper or not?

Thanks.

No, the muffler tip sticks out a couple of inches. I wish I had a pic for ya. When I sold my 98 auto for a 96 5 speed I transferred my cattman y-pipe, b-pipe, RT Cat, and muffler (along with my suspension) and I'm not too happy with the pipe sticking out so much. I think it's because of the cat, the 95-96 have a different part # than the 98-99 ones because of an input for an O2 sensor, other than that the cattman b-pipe and muffler are the same for the 95-99. Hope this helps.

97-99 cats have no o2 plug in them
95-96 cats have an o2 plug in them

There is a 2 inch difference b/t the two with lenghts, so I would say that the 97-99s are longer and then you got to drill a hole in it or figure out something...

Well, I'm selling my Apexi Catback but I guess I might just have to try to find someone selling their 95-96 catback.

The buyer I have though is willing to trade his 97+ catback for my 95-96 Apexi.
