Hey boss...remember at GLD....

Before ypipe with just an intake, hiflow muffler, and running on my 17s
15.523@89mph

With ypipe, intake, hiflow muffler, running on my17s
15.502...thats a sure sign there was a gain...not much but a gain.
Both were done at GLD...but now with my 15in rims...I ran a 15.270@90mph...at Byron tho...so there you have it you do indeed get gains with the ypipe.

For the mods those are relly bad gains. Weather condidtions have to be taken into consideration...

Dave, Unfortunatly I kinda agree w/ you. I got an auto and the pop charger wasn't good for me at all. Then i tried just the midpipe intake and it was better. Now i got a CAI and it is the best so far. Now i've done no dyno's but i can tell my car is faster once it gets goin. The problem is that it takes a second to kick in. When it was stock and i stomped the gas it would take off right away. Now, it takes a second b4 it really gets on it. Once it does though it really goes, the midrange is great too, and it feels like it has more tourque than stock. What i would like to get rid of is that 1 second of lag b4 it takes off. I raced a stock '98 auto w/ only y-pipe. He shot right off from the start but then we maintaned even acceleration through out. SO If you think putting the resonator back in will give that back to me I'll try it. Im not concerned w/ looks under the hood, I do care about the sound but would rather have performance!!!!!!

Just my .02, I suspect (and hope) that the lag is from the midpipe. I had a Monsterflow cone filteron the end of my maf as a WAI, (no midpipe) and had the same lag. Put the stock airbox with standard filter on and it went away, but engine feels restricted in the higher rpm range. Car pulls smoothly from idle without irritating lag. I have the Y pipe as well. I want to add just a CAI tube using the stock resonator, but not if it induces any lag. Please post results here after putting the resonator back. That would be my configuration of choice, but if you still have lag, I can save the cost of a CAI cuz that initial lag on acceleration suuuuuuucked!

I think your confusing the power with HP and tourque. Its normal to lose some torque when gaining some HP.
