How much horsepower did you gain? Did you think it was worth it? Did the performance impress you? I might be getting the Budget y-pipe, but don't know if it is worth for the auto. Thanks everyone!

Oh its worth it allright!! Its the best bang for the buck...I got the budget y-pipe (all are the same) and felt the differance. The hp depends on the car (10-18). I cant find my friends dyno slip but he got around 21hps with the budget y-pipe and a frankencar intake. Good luck, you wont regret it.

PS: Get header wrap and wrap the pipe, it makes it quiet.

FWIW, out of the 3 performance mods I have done so far. (Injen Intake, Y-pipe, and cat-back) The only one I definatly felt was the y-pipe.

I agree, def worth it. I have a CAI with mine and just added a dynomax turbo muffler, sounds a little like mustang.

About the header wrap, How much quieter does it get and how much did you wrap. just to cat?

I was getting a rat in the can noise....sort of like pencils shaking in a can. The problem was that their was a leak where the y connected to the cat. So I bought some header wrap from ebay (cheap) and wrapped all the sections. Now its very quiet. I think others have done this too but it sure works!

As to how much to wrap? A couple of times, over lapping each other should do...Its quiet until 3K, then my frankencar screams like my girl!

Don’t do it. You do not get the full benefit compare to 5spd. A/T normally shifts around 1-3rpm. You really need to step on the gas for 4rpm. A/T shifts too much unless you drive straight on. If you have the time play, go try it and tell us about it. Have fun and good luck. Remember to torch those cat flange nuts before trying to install it yourself.

Please post here on how I can easily reach 4-5rpm.

unless you're in constant city traffic and applying less than 35% pressure on your gas pedal there's no reason why your A/T won't rev well over 1-3k rpm.

I bought a Warspeed. I put on the Jim Wolf pop charger first. A little later I bought the y-pipe. The y-pipe is a great mod, you will feel the difference. GET ONE !

Are you going to go with the Cattman headers?
