KillSwitches

I was wondering if anyone has used a keyswitch for a killswitch???

like this one here :

Im gonna purchase that one and install it flush in somewhere in teh car... visible with a LED light that turns on when its armed.. I was wondering if anyone has done this before? I will also have another pushbutton killswitch hidden away incase someone wants to open the ignition AND the keyswitch... I'll still have another killswitch hidden away =)

I thought it would be a cool mod for those who are interested... Im gonna order me one tonight w/ a LED and some relays.

BTW dont tell me to search theres nothing about anyone using keyswitches. Look at my sig, im a security freak now.

This reminds me of something I wanted to do a while back. I have a Clifford alarm that you can add a wireless immobilizer. Once the alarm is armed and is tripped it disables the car's fuel system(I think the fuel pump), only you and the installer know where it is. Since it has no wires the thief wont know why the car wont start. Maybe this weekend I will see how much this option costs. If it costs too much or is not available anymore, I may look into getting a setup like yours.

I don't either, that is why I checked the install myself. Also, as soon as I got home I deleted all the remotes and added mine again.

I am pretty handy with setting up electronic equipment, but I just wanted the lifetime warranty that came with the install. I have done all of the stereo installation in my car myself, from the audio system to the vidoe system. My old setup included a very nice processor (Alpine PXA-H600) and fiberoptic cables connecting the headunit (Alpine CDA-7949) and the changer to it, I wish I would have kept it.
