paint chip

I took my dark green 97 Se to a national tire and battery chain to have a new battery installed. While they were testing the old battery I noticed the Techs being careless by letting one of the Clamps and cable on their machine hit my fender 3 times.i didn't say anything. After I paid for my new baterry the hood was already down on my max so i went home. When I got out I immediately found a dime size paint chip on my hood right above the battery.I called the manager and he looked at it IN the in the parking lot of my work.he called and talked to my wife and said he didn't see how they could have done it.I'm supposed to call him back tommorrow. If he says he's not going to fix it I'm raising He_ _ .Other than that does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next?I figure i'll go up the ladder with his company.Next question. If he agrees to fix it what would be the best way?Should I have the area spot painted or have the whole hood painted. The car is in perfect condition without even a scratch on it.I can see it both ways. I don't know if I want the whole hood painted if I don't have too but I'm scared it wouldn't look right later if i just had the spot painted or would it look worse later if the whole hood didn't match ?

Call a reliable paint shop and ask them. If they do a good job they will match the paint well and also blend the paint into the rest of the car so even if the color a little off (due to sun and age on the rest of the car) you won't tell.
