I got a special ebay edition CAI which i converted into a short ram instead. Unfortunately, it came w/a crappy filter.

-Whats the big difference between the KN and cheap ebay filter? I'm looking to replace it w/k&n...will i hear/feel the difference?


-also, is there a real big difference in gain w/the short ram vs. CAI?

get rid of that 4cyl filter... its too small... my ebay cai is coming in the mail on wednesday, I plan on getting a new filter once it comes out of the bodyshop... Depends what you want... CAI is good for lowend.

 

I have a Cone K&N air filter on my 96 SE. It's sounds GREAT! You can really rear when you punch it, but just normal driving you'll get i nice deep tone. Get the K&N, its reusuable too!

Yeah, i got mine off ebay.

 

The K&N airfilter really helps you in the long run...the cheap air filters break or tear. I have a CAI kit off of ebay and replaced the airfilter with a K&N. It sounds great. The part number is RU-2820.

K&N...I have hacked airbox and I cleaned it just yesterday took about an hour of my time to let it dry and everything and it changed my low end a bit. Bo with the K&N and you won't regret it. Nothing better than
that recahrge kit.
