Suspension noise from rear. Any help?

I have this clunk noise coming from the left rear shock area everytime I hit a bump. I'm on AGX's/Sprints with motivational rear mounts. I've had this loud clunking noise for as long as i've had this setup, which has been about 4 months. The noise is driving me insane as it is getting worse. Any ideas as to what it might be?

the first two areas I'd check would be spring isolation and the seal/gasket between the upper mount and your car.

when I had that clunk sound, I thought I installed wrong. It turned out that I had a bad AGX strut. You might want to visually check it.

I had the very same problem. it turns out that there wasn't any rubber between the plates or sumthing or other. i didn't understand the mechanic jargon. But after he installed some rubber it nice and quiet! NOW, my rear struts sounds like an old mattress. Oh well. Still rides great. BTW i have AGXs.

I've been having this same problem, (maxspeed/ agx combo) I thought it was the spring coils, but it doesn't seem to be that at all....I'm going to check out the spring isolator this weekend.

I had a clunk spring noise from my passenger rear spring and it turned out it wasn't seated properly. The mechanic matched up the rear seat marking and the spring, but when putting it back in, the shock wasn't lined up properly so he twisted it in I guess. After a few weeks of driving and settling in, it became unseated.

Jamie (98se5speed - great guy ) took it off for me and we saw that the spring was about an inch and a half away from the shock spring stop thing (you know how the shock has: \__ thing for the springs to seat at). He took it apart and he put the bottom of the spring in right and he twisted the top seat so the spring is on the soft rubber part.

Now the rear hasn't made a sound yet. Still waiting to see if it does, but I don't think it will
