I can't feel my fingers!

O.k. I just got done doing the body colored door pillar mod...
AAHHHHHH!!! I can barely feel my fingers from getting all the glue off. A combination of 3M adhesive remover, rubbing alcohol, and make your eyes go crossed-elbow grease did the trick.

my pillars were really a sore to my eyes(fading)

RESULT: I have a 96 with 140,000 on the ticker and the paint underneath the tape(yes the black is just a friggin vinyl sticker)is PERFECT. not one scratch or haze mark. I followed the removal up with the ever-trusted mothers 3-step.

PROBLEM: the lines of the maxima(painted areas) are almost all curved and now the painted pillars really stick out because they are so straight.
(something to think about before you try this out)

and yes, nismos, this would be great for you considering the color of your max. also recommend for black or any other dark color.

I did this at the beginning of the summer, the first side i did i used a hairdryer, Lots and Lots of "elbow grease" I got wise though, if you use a heat gun, it all peels off in one piece, took me about 45 minutes for 1st side, 5 minutes for 2nd side, just a word to the wise..

As for looks, you are right, it does make the car flow alot better, check out my homepage for pics
